Brand Storytelling for Wineries: Capturing the Philosophy of La Biblioteca

La Biblioteca is design-forward in their bottle labels (designed by Portland-based artist and book illustrator Carson Ellis), but when it comes to their wine, they let the terroir guide the canvas. We had the opportunity to visit their vineyard, cellar, and tasting room, led by our guide, the charming and understated François Millet. Francois would be justified in having an ego, having been the former chief winemaker at the famous Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé in Burgundy, France. Yet his low-interventionist philosophy on winemaking speaks to a larger philosophy on life, one he clearly follows.
